人間総合理工学科は、分野を超えた課題解決力で人と環境の持続可能な未来を創るための学びを展開しています。理工学に基礎を置きながら、持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）に基づき、人間のより良き生存well-beingを向上させ、自然と人間の共生を目指すための学問を分野横断的に学びます。専門性を深めつつ広い分野の知識を身につけ、異分野間の仲立ちとなって問題解決にあたることのできる人材、科学・技術の成果を社会に伝えることのできる人材の育成を目指します。

[仕事内容]
本公募では、広い意味での生物統計学（公衆衛生学、疫学、健康科学等）に関わる分野で研究業績を有し、人間総合理工学科に新たな発展と貢献をもたらす研究・教育者を募集します。研究に際しては、定量化を重視したevidence-basedなアプローチを期待します。本学のメンバーと協力しつつ、新しい研究分野にも積極的に取り組み、教育および学内運営に熱意をもって取り組める研究・研究者を募集します。

また、他分野との分野横断的な共同研究や教育についても熱意のある方を求めています。特に、国際的な共同研究プロジェクトへの意欲と経験は重視いたします。

担当科目については、「生物統計学」、「生物統計学演習」、「健康科学概論」、「保健医療情報処理」、「認知・健康科学実習」、「人間総合理工学演習」等の現開設科目を基本とします。

なお、本学科はカリキュラム改正を控えているため、担当科目に関しては、柔軟なご対応をお願いいたします。特に、英語を主体とした科目の立案・担当をお願いする可能性がある点にご留意ください。

業績によっては、助教（任期なし、テニュア）での採用もあり得る点をご留意ください。

[About the institution]
The Department of Integrated Sciences and Engineering for Sustainable Societies was launched in 2013. It is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people by transforming knowledge of science and engineering into practice in a wide range of human life situations. Areas of study and research cover wide range of SDGs and include environmental design and conservation of biodiversity, development of resource circulation systems to support sustainable lifestyles, visualization of cognitive and behavioral patterns of humans based on sensing tools and information technologies, and promotion of human safety and health through the development of integrated lifesaving systems and advanced biometric analyses.

[Job details]
The successful applicant will be involved in education and research in the field of biostatistics in a wide sense, including epidemiology, public health study, health sciences. Applicants are expected to have a solid track record in the research fields indicated above. A clear focus on quantitative, evidence-based approaches is expected. We put emphasis on global education and international research collaboration, and the ability to play an active role in performing inter-disciplinary collaboration and education in an international context will be key criteria in the selection process. Accordingly, applicants with experience in international collaborative research projects are highly appreciated.

The successful applicant will be expected to actively participate in integrated experimental and field courses with an emphasis on project-based learning. Expected subjects are biostatistics, laboratory in biostatistics, health sciences, information processing for health sciences, laboratory for health and cognitive sciences, and PBL on the integrated science and engineering for sustainable societies. However, it should be noted that the academic curriculum is subject to revision, and there may be changes to specific subjects. An active role in in the development of bilingual courses.

[Qualifications]
Applicants should meet the following criteria
-Ph.D.
-Motivation in research-oriented education on students
-Motivation in inter-disciplinary research and/or education
-Experience in international research projects
-Sufficient ability of Japanese and English for graduate school level education
-Motivation for designing and performing project-based learning

[Compensation]
Salary will be determined according to the institutional labor regulations. Discretionary working system is adopted. Social insurance is available. Retirement is at the age of 70

[Selection process]
